HOW DO I....

OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?

Repeat prescriptions are computerised and full details of the procedure will be given to patients as needed. Please allow two working days before collection.

We regret that we cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions. However, they may be requested via the emis gateway below provided you have completed an online registration form at the surgery. In all other cases we will need exact details of your prescription requirements and you may be asked to see the doctor.

REVIEW DATES

Review dates must be strictly adhered to. It could be unsafe for the patient to continue with repeat prescribing without it being reviewed regularly by the doctor.

Patients aged 65+ and who are on four or more medications will be reviewed on a six-monthly basis.

It is a condition of having a repeat prescription that the patient attends a stipulated review date.

Hoarding medicines is unsafe and results in considerable wastage and is therefore expensive to the NHS.
