Saturday Surgery

9.00am - 12 noon
for pre-booked appointments only.
Emergencies will be dealt with
by the out-of-hours service.

We will always see you the same day if you need urgent medical attention. Although we cannot guarantee that you will see your usual doctor.

You will be requested to see our specialist nurse initially. She will be able to manage the majority of consultations but if necessary will be able to refer to the duty doctor.

If you have several problems you wish to discuss, please tell the doctor straightaway so that they can decide which are the most important. We try to keep to time with appointments. If you are kept waiting please be patient. The doctor may be dealing with an emergency or complicated problem.

If you are late for your appointment, you will be seen at the doctor's discretion.

PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO KEEP YOUR APPOINTMENT.

OUT OF HOURS AND EMERGENCY CALLS

NHS Direct is a service to provide an initial point of contact for medical problems. Their telephone number is 0845 4647 or you can visit online at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

NHS Direct offers advice and information by telephone. This is a 24 hour a day/seven days a week service manned by trained health professionals, usually nurses, who can offer advice about a wide range of health issues.

For urgent problems you may contact the surgery at any time. Tel: 01483 564578.

Out of hours the surgery answerphone will give you the number of the out-of-hours service. Be prepared with pen and paper to take instructions from a recorded message. Ring the out-of-hours service and they will process your message. A local doctor will contact you by telephone.

DISABLED ACCESS

There is wheelchair access to the building. The patients' toilet has been adapted for wheelchair use.

CHAPERONES

For 'intimate' examinations all patients are entitled to have a chaperone. Your doctor will offer this and you may ask. This may sometimes cause a delay.

NHS Walk-in Centres

The nearest walk-in centre is at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Egerton Road, Guildford. There is also one at Woking Community Hospital, Heathside Road, Woking.

IN AN EMERGENCY DIAL 999.
